Problems, parts and running costs

Summary

A basic 120 V countertop griddle with a 10 x 18 inch ceramic nonstick surface, a removable dial probe and, on the current generation, a warming tray. Check which generation you are buying: old stock uses the older nonstick coating and a one-year warranty, while current units carry the EverGood ceramic coating and two years.

Strengths

  • The 10 x 18 inch surface fits 10 eggs or 6 pancakes at once.
  • The EverGood ceramic coating is made without PFAS, PFOA, PTFE, lead and cadmium.
  • The plate lifts out for dishwasher cleaning and is fully immersible once the probe is removed.
  • The removable dial probe gives you 200 °F to 400 °F of control.
  • A warming tray on the current generation keeps cooked food hot.
  • Cool-touch handles and non-skid feet.

Weaknesses

  • No independent test of this exact model exists; the only Bella unit in Wirecutter’s 2026 test was the larger 12" x 22" XL.
  • Owners of same-line Bella ceramic griddles call the temperature control mediocre.
  • Same-line owners report the surface warping slightly from heat and not feeling premium.
  • The larger 12" x 22" XL drew uneven-heat complaints and arrived with discoloration in the shape of the heating element.
  • The 2013 manual warns that high heat discolors and shortens the life of any nonstick surface.
  • SENSIO supplies no replacement parts, so a failure means repair, replace or refund at its discretion.

Which generation you get

Two first-party generations share this name. The older one is the archived 10" x 18" griddle, Bella item 13057, documented by a 2013 manual: 120 V AC only, a 200 °F to 400 °F dial, a 5-minute preheat and an underside tilt lever for grease. The current product, the 10" x 18" Electric Griddle with Warming Tray, adds the EverGood ceramic coating, 1500 W heating and a BPA-free warming tray. The manufacturer does not print item 13057 on the current page, so the link between the listing’s ASIN and the current product is a spec match, not a documented part number. Buyers of old stock may get the earlier non-ceramic design; the warranty term is the practical tell.

Heat, temperature control and cooking

Nobody has published an instrumented test of this exact model. Wirecutter’s 2026 electric-griddle guide tested ten griddles and found typical electric griddles reach roughly 175–425 °F with rectangular coil heat patterns; its only Bella unit, the larger 12" x 22" XL, arrived with discoloration in the shape of the heating element and heat mostly confined to that shape. The 2013 manual warns independently that very high temperatures discolor and shorten the life of any nonstick surface and recommends medium-to-low heat. These are signals from other sizes, not a defect rate for the 10" x 18".

Cleaning and upkeep

The plate comes off and, once the probe is out, can be fully immersed or run through the dishwasher; the drip tray and the current generation’s warming tray are dishwasher safe too. The probe itself is not submersible and should be wiped with a damp cloth. Use only nylon, plastic or wooden utensils, skip steel wool and abrasive cleaners, and do not cut food on the surface. Protect heat-sensitive counters such as Corian with a hot pad or trivet.

Parts, warranty and running costs

There are no consumables: the only recurring cost is electricity. SENSIO’s current warranty page covers two years for mechanical defects and 90 days for non-mechanical parts, repair, replace or refund at its discretion, for the original purchaser with proof of purchase. The company states the griddle is designed to run without replacement parts and does not supply them, so there is no parts channel for a worn surface or a failed probe. The 2013 manual states one year, so an older unit may be covered for less.

Is it worth it?

Walmart lists the current 10" x 18" Oatmilk model at $59.99 (October 2026) and the Copper/Black model at $69.88 (October 2026). The older 13057 had a suggested retail of $32.99 in 2014. At the observed prices the griddle is fair value only if the warming tray or the footprint matters to you; the untested heat distribution, the line-level warping reports and the lack of replacement parts argue against paying a premium.
