Summary

A 20,000 mAh (~74Wh) aluminum laptop pack with a single 65W USB-C PD port, two USB-A outputs and an LED power display. Check the physical ports before buying: first-party pages describe one USB-C plus a micro-USB input, while some listings claim two USB-C ports.

Strengths

  • A single 65W USB-C PD port charges a MacBook Air or a 13-14-inch Pro class laptop.
  • 20,000 mAh and about 74Wh in a 450 g aluminum body with a numeric display.
  • The 60W USB-C recharge path refills the bank in about two hours.
  • Two USB-A outputs plus USB-C cover three devices at once.

Weaknesses

  • 65W is single-port only; splitting output slows laptop and phone charging together.
  • The port layout is ambiguous — some listings say two USB-C, first-party pages say one plus micro-USB.
  • The micro-USB input is dated and capped at 18W.
  • 20,000 mAh is nominal capacity: about 12,000 mAh is usable.
  • No instrumented exact-model test exists; Wirecutter’s 2026 laptop roundup passed over Baseus.
  • Three owner threads describe exact-model units that died after about two months, stopped charging, or arrived faulty.

What it can charge

The single USB-C port delivers 65W, which suits a MacBook Air or a 13-14-inch Pro class laptop; a 16-inch MacBook Pro will charge slowly. Add the two USB-A ports and the total splits to 45W plus 18W, so devices charge slower together.

Compatibility is uneven. Baseus warns that some laptops’ Type-C ports are data-only and cannot charge, OPPO-series phones draw only 5W or 10W, and Xiaomi runs up to 27W over USB-A or 16W over USB-C. The bank itself refills at up to 60W over USB-C PD in about two hours, or at 18W over the dated micro-USB input.

Reliability and owner reports

Owner evidence is mixed. One r/UsbCHardware owner reports a Baseus 20,000 mAh bank bought in 2023, used with an S23 Ultra, an iPhone 14 Pro Max and a Vivo V40, with no issues. Against that, three threads describe exact-model units that stopped charging, died after about two months of light use, or arrived faulty, and another owner says Baseus support was reluctant to swap a failing unit. No failure-rate data exists, so treat these as anecdotes rather than a defect rate.

Baseus’s own recall history is not a factor here, but its warranty exclusions are: coverage is void for a torn or altered label, third-party repairs, unauthorized resellers, and used or dismantled items, which matters for marketplace purchases.

Which model this is

This page covers the Baseus Adaman Metal Digital Display 65W 20,000 mAh (SKU PPIMDA-D01 in black, PPIMDA-D03 in blue). First-party pages and the matching retailer listing describe one USB-C port, two USB-A outputs and a micro-USB input, while some listings claim two USB-C ports — confirm the physical ports on the exact unit. It is not the Free2Pull, the fixed-cable Elf or Star-Lord, the 100W Blade family, or the 30,000 mAh model.

Is it worth it?

Baseus’s own store lists the Adaman 65W at $58.99, a step down from a $62.99 regular price (2026), though the page was sold out at check time. Newegg’s matching four-port listing shows $102.99, and the same design reviewed in 2021 sold at $49.99. Under about $50 this is strong value for a 74Wh-class 65W aluminum pack with a display; past about $110 it is weak, since better-tested alternatives sit in that money.

The recurring cost is a 60W-plus USB-C charger for the roughly two-hour fast recharge, plus a USB-C cable if you do not have one. There are no consumables, and the pack is within the airline carry-on energy limit.
