Baseus Adaman Metal Digital Display 65W 20,000mAh: problems, parts and running costs

Checked: 2026-10-17

Summary

A used unit can fail outright: owners report new banks that draw almost no charge and die once unplugged, percentage readouts that collapse from about 80% to 0%, and replacements that fail again after storage. Running costs are low because there is no consumable or subscription; the checked illustrative electricity estimate is about $1.00 to $3.00 a year depending on recharge count. Between $35 and $40 new it is a reasonable budget laptop bank; above about $58 the newer 100W UGREEN Nexode is the better power-value buy.

Common problems and fixes

Parts and consumables

Yearly running cost

There is no subscription, filter or consumable. Illustrative electricity estimate from the sources: the nominal store is 74Wh; assuming 0.10kWh drawn per complete recharge and $0.20/kWh, 50 / 100 / 150 equivalent full recharges a year would cost $1.00 / $2.00 / $3.00. Real use depends on inefficiency, heat and the local tariff. A one-time cable replacement would add the checked $7.99 to $9.99, but no annual interval is published. [2]

When it is a good buy

Checked US reference points (October 2026): the Baseus US page for PPIMDA-D01 showed $58.99, reduced from $62.99, and sold out; a separate PPIMDA-E03 SKU was $79.99 and also sold out; a Newegg marketplace listing was $128.09 with overseas fulfillment. Thresholds: $35 to $40 or less new is a reasonable budget laptop option with return rights; $40 to $55 only if the metal case and voltage/current display matter; at $58 or higher the newer 100W UGREEN Nexode is the better value; above $70 it makes little sense without a specific need.
