Baseus Magnetic Power Bank & MagSafe Portable: problems, parts and running costs

Checked: 2026-10-20

Summary

The Baseus 20W magnetic power bank with 10,000mAh (manual model PPCX010005) frustrates owners in three recurring ways: magnetic charging stops at 7.5W, using two devices at once splits the output to 10W wired plus 5W wireless, and the 10,000mAh on the box is cell capacity with a rated output of 5,800mAh. There is nothing to replace and nothing recurring to buy, so the running cost after the purchase is effectively the electricity to refill it. At or below $30 it is a reasonable budget magnetic pack; from $41 to $50 it is weak value.

Common problems and fixes

Parts and consumables

Yearly running cost

Nothing recurs: the pack has no filters, pods or consumables, no serviceable parts and no subscription. The only recurring cost is the electricity to refill it — input is 18W, and a full refill takes about 3 hours on Baseus’s own figure (ChargerLAB measured 2 hours 50 minutes), so a few refills a month is the whole running cost and the dollar amount depends on your own electricity rate. Because no power adapter ships in the box, a USB-C PD adapter is a one-time cost if you do not already own one. Not enough data for a dollar-per-year figure: no source reports what owners actually spend on electricity for this pack.
