Summary
Compact cordless handheld car vacuum rated at 15,000 Pa and 135 W, with USB-C charging, two suction levels, an LED light and an air-blow mode. Check sustained use before you buy: independent testing shows suction falling and the motor shutting down after 4-5 minutes of continuous high-power running.
Strengths
- Compact aluminum body stores in a glovebox or center console.
- USB-C charging works with a standard phone charger.
- LED light helps find debris in dark crevices.
- Air-blow mode dislodges dirt from seams and vents.
- Strong suction on loose debris like crumbs and shredded paper.
- Washable filter means no consumable bags.
Weaknesses
- Suction decays during continuous use and the motor shuts down after 4-5 minutes.
- Small 0.3 L bin fills quickly and needs mid-job emptying.
- Embedded pet hair is hard without a motorized brush roll.
- Fine sand overwhelms the unit and can be blown back into the cabin.
- Air leaks around the filter housing cut effective suction.
- Published weight and dimensions disagree between Baseus pages.

Suction and sustained use
The 15,000 Pa figure is a manufacturer maximum measured under ideal conditions. An AliExpress write-up reports peak suction at 92% after 2 minutes, about 61% after 5 minutes and 38% after 10 minutes of continuous use, driven by thermal throttling and filter loading. The same write-up reports the motor’s overheat protection shutting the unit down after roughly 4-5 minutes of continuous use. Baseus warns that sudden stops may be caused by overheat protection and that the unit is not recommended for long-hair carpets. That makes the A3 a touch-up tool, not a deep-cleaning vacuum.
Pet hair and sand
Owners report good results on loose debris: one Reddit owner described strong suction on shredded paper and used the blower to dislodge ingrained dirt from car carpet before vacuuming. Embedded pet hair is a different story, because there is no motorized brush roll. The AliExpress tester rated the A3 2.8 and 1.5 respectively for short-haired and long-haired pets (on a 5-point scale), and reported the 0.3 L bin filling after about three passes on a medium-shedding dog. Fine sand and gravel overwhelm the unit within about 90 seconds, with suction weakening and dust blown back into the cabin. Air leaks around the filter housing add to the loss of effective suction.
Charging and runtime
ChargerLAB measured an 18 W charging input and a full charge in about 2 h 2 min (50% in 53 min, 80% in 1 h 25 min), materially faster than the 3.5-4 h manufacturer claim, on a 65 W charger. High-speed runtime measured 20-25 minutes, against manufacturer claims of 17-45 minutes and Motor Verso’s 40 minutes standard / 20 minutes high power. An AliExpress tester reported 18 minutes without the LED and 15 minutes with it. Battery capacity totals 8000 mAh across four 2000 mAh cells per ChargerLAB and Motor Verso, though Baseus does not state cell count on the pages read. The LED draws enough power to shorten runtime, but it is genuinely useful: 120 lumens with a reported 42% improvement in detecting debris under 3 mm in low light.
Filters and upkeep
Maintenance is simple: twist the suction nozzle counterclockwise to remove the dust bin and filter, empty the bin, tap the steel filter and HEPA cartridge to remove dust, wash the filter, let it dry, then reassemble. Baseus advises cleaning the filter promptly when suction weakens. The HEPA-style filter is washable but, per the AliExpress write-up, traps little beyond coarse debris. Replacement filters appear to be third-party items; Baseus-sold replacement parts for the A3 were not found on the pages read. The casing is matte aluminum alloy with an anodized surface per ChargerLAB.
Is it worth it?
At about $99.99 the A3 is a reasonable glovebox backup for light, frequent touch-ups such as crumbs, lint and small debris. It is not the right tool for deep cleaning, embedded pet hair or sand, and its value weakens quickly if the price rises above the listed level. Baseus US lists the A3 at $99.99 (sold out at the time of reading); baseustech.com lists $99.99 original price and a $30.00 price; Motor Verso cites £89.99 for the UK market. Ownership costs are low: no consumable bags, a washable filter and USB-C charging with a standard phone charger. The main extra cost is a better filter or a larger vacuum for deep cleaning. If the price drops substantially below $99.99, it becomes a reasonable glovebox backup, provided expectations stay limited to light debris.
Which model this is
This page covers the Baseus A3 Car Vacuum Cleaner, handheld cordless model, Baseus US SKU VCAQ000114, with ChargerLAB’s unit carrying model number CRXCQA3. Baseus compares it against the A3 Lite (12,000 Pa, 100 W, 130 ml bin) and the A2 Pro (7,000 Pa, 48 W), which are separate models with different motors, suction and accessories; specifications must be matched to the exact model. The Amazon listing for this model is ASIN B09TF9YLBH. Do not confuse it with the A3 Lite, whose 130 ml dust-bin figure belongs to that model, not the A3.
