Summary
A palm-sized GaN travel adapter with four slide-out plug types covering 200+ countries, a universal AC pass-through socket, two USB-A ports, one USB-C port and a built-in 27-inch retractable USB-C cable rated at 70W. Check the limits before you pack it: there is no surge protection by design and no support for Type K (Denmark) or Type M (South Africa) plugs.
Strengths
- The built-in 27-inch retractable 70W cable removes the need to pack a separate cable.
- Four slide-out plug types (Type A, C, G and I) cover 200+ countries.
- Top-mounted prongs reduce the top-heavy looseness common with EU outlets.
- Dual user-replaceable 10A fuses, with spares in the box.
- ZDNET’s months-long test called it the best-engineered medium-size travel adapter it had used.
- Compact at 50.5 x 55 x 82 mm and 248 g.
Weaknesses
- No surge protection, which is a real limit on unstable power grids.
- Type K (Denmark) and Type M (South Africa) plugs are not supported.
- The 70W headline is shared across ports and holds only on the cable alone.
- Only one USB-C port besides the built-in cable, so buyers wanting more than two USB-C ports should skip it.
- No instrumented lab test exists; the best coverage is hands-on, not measured.
- One storefront reviewer reported the outlet fit as too loose, though hands-on reviewers praised the plug locks.

Full research notes and sources
The cable and how power is shared
The retractable cable is the point of this adapter: flat braided nylon, five length presets, and rated for the full 70W, so it replaces a cable you would otherwise pack. ZDNET’s months-long test found the retractor smooth and the cable held up, and Gizmochina notes the tip carries a magnet and a light.
Power is shared, not additive. The manual’s matrix tops out at 70W total: 70W on the cable alone, 60W on USB-C2 or USB-A2 alone, and multi-port combinations dropping to shared allocations like 40W + 18W. ZDNET measures the combined output at 60W when all four USB ports are in use. That is enough for most laptops but slower than a stock charger on a large MacBook Pro.
Plugs, voltage and coverage
Type A, C, G and I plugs cover 200+ countries, but Denmark (Type K) and South Africa (Type M) are not covered. The AC side is a universal pass-through socket rated to 2500W and 10A, and it accepts 2- or 3-prong plugs. Input is 100-250V~ at 50/60Hz and 1.8A max, and the unit changes plug shape only; it does not convert voltage, so single-voltage appliances need their own converter.
Safety, ownership and evidence
Safety design is deliberate: dual 10A fuses with spares included, over-power, short-circuit and overheating protection, and a fireproof polycarbonate body. The trade-off is no surge protection, which Baseus frames as cruise-approved rather than a defect. Maintenance is limited to fuse replacement, and there are no consumables or subscriptions.
Evidence quality is the main caveat. No RTINGS, Wirecutter, PCMag or instrumented lab test of this exact model exists. Reddit owner reports are few but positive, and the only overheating complaints found target older, different Baseus chargers.
Is it worth it?
Baseus’s US store lists the CG11 at $49.99, down from $69.99, and its EU store lists it at 49.99 EUR with a code against a 59.99 EUR regular price. A 2026 deal tracked a $25 promo low. At $25-40 the adapter is an easy pick for frequent travelers; at $49.99 it is fair and worth comparing with Ceptics, MOMAX or Zendure; at $69.99 the premium over the sale price buys nothing and better-tested alternatives become easy to justify.
Which model this is
This page covers the Baseus EnerCore CG11 with the built-in retractable cable, internal model E0307E and SKU E0307E00. It is not the Baseus EnerCore CJ11 100W 3-port charger, the 45W Picogo AG11, or the older 65W-class Zendure Passport III. The US listing on Amazon is ASIN B0GS5W6WPH, and an earlier listing for the same model was B0FCSDD9H3.
