Baseus 30W USB-C PD Charger Block: problems, parts and running costs
Checked: 2026-10-17
Summary
The Baseus 30W dual-port charger (tested model CCCJG30CS, sold as the Super Si Pro) gives one device the full 30W over USB-C and splits to 18W plus 12W when both ports are in use. Running cost is essentially zero: about 1.4 kWh a year in standby if left plugged in, no consumables, no subscription. It is a good buy at $20 or less; above $25 the missing cable and single fast-charge path are hard to defend.
Common problems and fixes
- Two-device charging drops USB-C to 18W — the 30W headline applies only to a single device on the USB-C port; with both ports busy the split is 18W USB-C plus 12W USB-A, about 27W combined in a measured run. No fix; plan around the split. [1][2]
- Chassis gets hot under sustained load — measured surface temperatures reached about 68 °C after one hour at full 30W load in 25 °C ambient, within normal range for this class but hot to touch. Keep it out of enclosed spaces during long full-power sessions. [1]
- No cable in the box — the package holds the charger and a user guide only; a USB-C cable is an extra purchase. [4]
- USB-A port has no PD or PPS — some devices charge slower from USB-A than from USB-C, and the “12W max” in listings is the simultaneous-use allocation, not the port ceiling: measured about 18W solo into a Huawei Mate 40 Pro. [1]
- Device-specific compatibility floor — a Red Magic 6 Pro charged at less than 10W on both ports in ChargerLAB’s compatibility matrix; a device-specific limit, not a defect. [1]
- Brand-level reliability signals — Trustpilot feedback for Baseus includes reports of chargers restarting on their own and dead ports on 100W GaN units; these concern other Baseus products, not this model. [6]
Parts and consumables
No replaceable parts or consumables reported. The unit is not user-serviceable and no parts channel exists for chargers. [1]
Yearly running cost
About 1.4 kWh a year if the charger is left plugged in all the time: measured standby draw is about 0.16W (0.163W at 220V, 0.161W at 110V). There are no consumables and no subscription; the only extra cost is a USB-C cable, which is not included. [1][4]
When it is a good buy
- At or below $20 — strong value: ETL-certified, instrumented-verified 30W PD/PPS output, 18W plus 12W dual-port split, foldable plug, 18-24 month warranty class. Baseus’s official store lists the Super Si Pro at $19.99, sold out when checked in October 2026. [2][3]
- $20-25 — fair-to-good for a dual-port travel brick; Anker, Ugreen and Samsung 25-30W single-port chargers and some 45W GaN options sit nearby. [1]
- $25-30 — weak: the missing cable, single fast-charge path and unknown long-term reliability are hard to defend against 45-65W multi-port GaN chargers. [1]
- Above $30 — poor value for this hardware; only justifiable if the exact dual-port 30W foldable form factor is required. [1]
The 2022 launch price was $24.99 before a promotional code. [5]
