Problems, parts and running costs

Summary

The Baseus Super Si Pro Dual Port Fast Charger 30W (CCSUPP-D01) is a very small dual-port wall charger with a 30 W USB-C Power Delivery port and a 12 W USB-A port, aimed at phones and small tablets on a tight budget. Check the shared power ceiling before you buy: when both ports are used the USB-C drops to 18 W, so a laptop that needs the full 30 W must charge alone.

Strengths

  • Genuine 30 W USB-C Power Delivery on a single port, with the five common fixed PDOs plus PPS.
  • Very small body, about 35 × 30 × 48 mm, with a foldable US plug that travels well.
  • Broad protocol support: PD3.0, PPS, QC, AFC, FCP, SCP and PE across both ports.
  • The extra USB-A port covers older cables without an adapter.
  • ChargerLAB measured stable output and 83–90 % efficiency on the near-identical sibling revision.
  • Baseus lists it at $19.99 on its own US site, and the Baseus Accessories storefront lists it at $21.95.

Weaknesses

  • “30 W” is the single-port USB-C maximum only; with both ports in use the USB-C drops to 18 W and USB-A to 12 W.
  • The USB-A port does not support PD or PPS, so it charges some phones more slowly than the USB-C port.
  • No cable is included; a bundle that adds one is a different purchase.
  • No major US outlet has tested this exact model, so the measured figures come from the near-identical sibling revision.
  • The manufacturer’s warranty term is not stated on the product page; resellers list anywhere from 3 months to 2 years.
  • Brand-level reliability reports describe individual Baseus chargers dying within months, though the examples are 65 W units, not this one.

Size, ports and the shared ceiling

The 30 W figure is the single-port USB-C maximum. Use the USB-A port at the same time and the USB-C port is capped at 18 W while the USB-A port delivers 12 W, for a 27 W combined ceiling. Listings that lead with “30 W dual port” do not always make that shared ceiling prominent. The USB-A port does not support PD or PPS, so on some phones it charges more slowly than the USB-C port; ChargerLAB’s compatibility chart for the USB-A port shows lower speeds on several phones than the USB-C chart. No cable is included, so a listing that bundles one is selling a bundle rather than the base unit.

Independent measurements

ChargerLAB’s 2022 instrumented test of the near-identical CCCJG30CS revision is the best evidence available. It confirmed broad protocol support on both ports, and a charging curve on an iPhone 13 Pro Max that reaches 47 % after 30 minutes and 83 % after an hour, with 1 h 44 min to full, essentially matching Apple’s own 30 W charger. It measured 27.04 W combined on two devices (14.22 W + 12.82 W), conversion efficiency of 83.82–90.03 % at 220 V/50 Hz and 83.12–89.11 % at 110 V/60 Hz, output ripple of 14–38 mV, and a peak surface temperature of about 67 °C after an hour of continuous full load in a 25 °C chamber. No-load draw was 0.16 W, about 1.4 kWh per year if left plugged in.

Reliability and warranty

This is a sealed charger with no user-serviceable parts and no consumables beyond electricity. Baseus’s product pages advertise a “Hassle-Free Warranty” without stating a term, and third-party resellers list very different periods for Baseus 30 W chargers: a Bangladesh retailer lists 3 months, while a Greek reseller lists 2 years for a different model. Treat the warranty as unresolved and check it at the point of purchase.

The recurring reliability signal is brand-level rather than model-specific. In r/UsbCHardware threads, owners report individual Baseus 65 W chargers losing a Type-C port or dying within about two months. No failure cluster specific to this 30 W dual-port unit was found, and ChargerLAB’s long-run test of the sibling found stable performance and good temperature control.

Is it worth it?

Baseus lists the charger at $19.99 on its own US site, which is sold out, and the Baseus Accessories storefront lists it at $21.95, backordered. At $19.99 it is a reasonable budget pick for a phone plus a legacy-cable device; at $21–25 it still makes sense if you want the dual-port layout at this size. Above $25 compare the Anker Nano 3 30 W, which independent roundups treat as the value benchmark. A gray-market reseller lists it for $6.00–$6.60, which is not a normal retail anchor.

Which model this is

The listing this page covers is ASIN B0BSFYK9K7, the Baseus 30W Dual Port USB C PD Charger Block. Baseus sells the same hardware as the Super Si Pro Dual Port Fast Charger 30W, SKU CCSUPP-D01, and some listings use the model number CCCJG30UC. Do not merge it with the older CCCJG30CS revision that ChargerLAB tested, or with Baseus’s separate 3-port and single-port 30 W models.
