Summary
A compact 1080p Roku TV projector that runs streaming apps on its own, suited to dark rooms. Check your room lighting first: at 280 ANSI lumens it struggles in daylight.
Strengths
- Licensed Roku TV runs the major streaming apps without an extra stick.
- Autofocus and auto-keystone make temporary setups quick.
- The 1080p picture holds up in a dark room for the money.
- Two 5 W Dolby speakers are usable for casual viewing.
- Dual-band Wi-Fi, AirPlay and Bluetooth cover most casting and audio needs.
- Setup is consistently reported as easy.
Weaknesses
- Only 280 ANSI lumens, so even a little daylight washes out the picture.
- Blacks are shallow and dark scenes lose detail.
- There is no built-in tilt stand, so vertical placement needs a tripod or other support.
- The optical engine is not sealed, so dust cleaning may become necessary.
- Fan noise is audible in quiet scenes and rises with bright content.
- Noticeable HDMI input lag makes fast games a poor fit.

Picture and brightness
The current manufacturer figure is 280 ANSI lumens, and both Notebookcheck and Expert Reviews test the same number. Some launch coverage says 330 ANSI and one review quotes 323 ISO lumens, but those should not be merged: ANSI and ISO are different measurements, and 330 also appears on the sibling Cube. At a 1.78 m throw, Notebookcheck got a 64.3 in image; small 4-point text stayed readable but edges were soft. Expert Reviews suggests about 80 in as a sensible target.
Sound and fan noise
The two 5 W Dolby speakers give clear dialogue but little bass. Notebookcheck measured music at 86.2 LAF dBA at maximum and pink noise at 59.9 dBA, and found the fan louder on bright scenes and quieter in Low Power, masked once volume passed about 10. Android Authority found the fan noticeable in quiet scenes, while Expert Reviews measured 44 dBA at 1 m and called it unobtrusive once audio played. The manufacturer claims 40 dB or less at 1 m.
Setup and Roku software
Roku TV is the reason to pick this over a generic budget projector: the major services run through a licensed platform. Setup needs a Roku account and an internet connection, and proxied networks are not supported during setup. The remote is not backlit and has no voice microphone, so voice search runs through the Roku mobile app. USB playback depends on Roku Media Player; a 1080p MP4 worked, while 4K files and some MKV files did not.
Maintenance and warranty
The optical engine is not sealed. Notebookcheck found a user-accessible cleaning panel and its review unit included cleaning swabs, so periodic dust cleaning may be needed. There is no lamp to replace, but no parts catalog or repair manual was found either, so component-level repair is unclear. The warranty runs 1 year and extends by a second year if you register the product.
Is it worth it?
Buy it on sale. At the recurring deal level this is a complete 1080p Roku projector for a bedroom, a rented flat or a first projector, but at full list the modest brightness and fixed chassis are hard to excuse. If you need daylight viewing or a gimbaled mount, compare brighter models before paying full price.
Which model this is
This page covers the standard horizontal white EAZZE D1R, Aurzen SKU PJ-AD001RX-USWH0, UPC 850074197676, ASIN B0FKMHPCCB. Do not confuse it with the D1R Cube or D1R air, which use different chassis and optics.
