Battery life and power

The monitor does not have a battery. Power draw measured by ServeTheHome ranges from 3.5 W at 0% brightness to 9.0 W at 100%. The Gadgeteer says it needs about 10 W. Pass-through charging lets one charger feed both the monitor and the laptop.

Connection and setup

Connection is simple with a laptop or phone that supports video over USB-C: one cable carries video and power. Note the details:

  • the HDMI port is Mini HDMI and needs USB-C power alongside it
  • The Gadgeteer found a Nintendo Switch needed a 65W charger, which the manual does not mention
  • there is no orientation button, and phones cannot use portrait mode
  • Windows may start at 60Hz until you pick 144Hz

Some consoles, handhelds and phones need a dock, hub or power arrangement, and phone support varies. Phones need DisplayPort Alt Mode over USB-C; some only mirror the screen.

Image quality and colour

That accuracy is better than a Dell Pro 14 Plus it tested (2.35), though the Dell’s gamut was slightly wider (100% sRGB). The matte coating cuts glare but makes colours a little less vivid. Brightness is listed at 300 cd/m²: enough indoors, weak near a bright window.

Which model this is

This is the Z1FC, sold in Gray. Arzopa’s US product page offers two options: the monitor alone, or the monitor with a protective case. Both options showed as sold out or unavailable when the page was checked. Do not confuse it with the Arzopa Z1C (60Hz), Z1RC (16-inch 2.5K, 60Hz) or Z3FC (16.1-inch 2.5K, 180Hz). They are different models.

Is it worth it?

At around $105–130 direct, it is a reasonable buy for gaming with consoles, mini PCs or a laptop, based on measured colour and the 144Hz panel. The Gadgeteer listed $129.99 in July 2025.
