Anker SOLIX F2000 (PowerHouse 767): problems, parts and running costs
Checked: 2026-10-17
Summary
The failures that matter most are AC-output and restart problems: one owner lost AC output after about 15 minutes under a 2,000W load with burnt inverter semiconductors, and after a full drain to zero the AC output can stay off even after solar refills the battery until someone presses a button. Running cost is electricity only — StorageReview measured 2.30kWh from the wall per full recharge, about $0.46 at an assumed $0.20/kWh and roughly $23.92 a year at weekly recharges. Up to about $550 new from an authorized seller with the 5-year warranty is a strong clearance deal; at $650 or above, shop the newer S2000 or C2000 Gen 2 first.
Common problems and fixes
- AC inverter failure under load — one r/AskElectronics owner lost AC output after about 15 minutes under a reported 2,000W load and later found burnt inverter semiconductors inside; Anker reportedly replaced the station under warranty, but the owner’s own component-level repair did not fully restore operation. Do not open the unit for DIY repair; an inverter fault is a warranty matter. [1]
- AC output stays off after a full drain — an April 2026 owner reports that after an off-grid cabin’s F2000 drained to zero, AC output stayed off after sunlight refilled the battery until someone pressed a button; other owners say their solar charging resumes normally each morning, so the risk is specifically unattended loads such as a refrigerator. No manufacturer-guaranteed automatic AC restart was found. [2][3]
- Deep discharge needs mains to recover — a January 2025 owner reported that after extended time at 0% with little winter sun, the station would not wake or collect solar until connected to mains and reset; the manual warns that prolonged low-charge storage can prevent normal operation and gives a reset method. Keep a reserve charge and follow the storage schedule. [4][10]
- False E4 USB-A overload warnings — in an October 2024 discussion at least two owners saw an E4 USB-A overload warning on new units with nothing attached; one later reported the warnings ceased after a full solar charge. This is not established as a common hardware fault. [5]
- Fan noise under load — European units measured 57.5 dB at 1 m under heavy load and up to about 55 dB during fast charging; DC-only or light use is much quieter. Plan placement accordingly. [7][8]
- Power Saving can cut outputs — the manual says enabling Power Saving may disconnect outputs when devices finish charging and recommends disabling it for CPAP or continuous tiny loads; an AC port with no detected plug shuts off after 15 minutes even with Power Saving off. Test your intended always-on loads before depending on them. [10]
Parts and consumables
- BP2000 / Anker 760 expansion battery (2,048Wh) — $799.99 in Anker’s US catalog (October 2026); brings total capacity to 4,096Wh. An optional one-time upgrade, not a scheduled consumable, and not the same as the incompatible BP2000 (Gen 2). [11][12][13]
- BP2600 expansion battery (2,560Wh) — $999.99 (Anker, October 2026); makes 4,608Wh nominal with the F2000. [11][12]
- BP2000 (Gen 2) expansion battery — incompatible with the F2000 despite the similar name; a current listing shows $699.99 at a promotional price, but do not buy it for this model. [13]
- Solar cables and connectors — Anker’s accessory catalog lists an MC4-to-XT60 0.5m cable at $29.99, a 33ft solar MC4 charging cable at $59.99 and a 3-port solar connector at $39.99; some listings show sold out. [14]
- A17U5 car-outlet-to-XT60 charge lead (10ft) — displayed at $34.99, but the item page shows Sold Out. [14][15]
- 6-circuit transfer-switch kit — previously listed at $399; installation requires a qualified electrician and labor is not included. [16]
Yearly running cost
StorageReview measured 2,300Wh (2.30kWh) drawn from the wall to refill a fully emptied station. At an assumed $0.20/kWh all-in tariff, each comparable full recharge costs about $0.46: 12 complete recharges a year is about $5.52, weekly about $23.92, and daily about $167.90. The same test delivered 1,870Wh of AC output, a measured wall-to-load round trip of about 81%, so do not treat the nominal 2,048Wh as deliverable energy. There are no scheduled consumables; battery wear, optional solar hardware and out-of-warranty repairs are real but unquantified costs. For storage, Anker recommends weekly checks, 30%-minimum intervention and a full charge every three months. [18][10]
When it is a good buy
- A current new-unit US price could not be confirmed in October 2026: the old maker product URL now redirects to the C2000 Gen 2. Verified May–June 2026 promotions ran $599–$899 — $799 shipped from Anker on May 27 with an expired code, $749 direct on June 26 against an $899 regular price, and a June 26 deal listing at $599 after a $150 coupon. These are past offers, not available quotes. [19][20][21][22]
- Up to about $550 new from an authorized U.S. seller, with a receipt and an actual 5-year warranty, is a strong clearance deal. $550–$650 is conditional: worth it for the unique 2,400W, TT-30 and built-in wheels combination, but shop the newer S2000 first when loads stay below 1,500W. [17][23][24]
- At roughly $700 or more, compare the C2000 Gen 2: the maker’s page shows 2,048Wh, 2,400W continuous, 41.7 lb, 1,800W AC input and a 10ms UPS rating against the F2000’s 67.2 lb, 1,440W and 20ms. A $699.99 offer appeared in Anker’s new-model context, but a trustworthy live in-cart comparison could not be completed. [24][17]
- Anker’s S2000 was listed at $649.99 unit-only on October 11 (promotion expiring October 14): 2,010Wh, 1,500W continuous, 35.7 lb, no expansion support — the better buy for smaller loads and frequent lifting, not a 2,400W substitute. [23]
- Alternative: EcoFlow’s DELTA 3 Max (2,048Wh) was listed at $879 at Best Buy in October 2026, described as 3,400W output with X-Boost; consider it if high AC output and a current retailer purchase matter more than the wheel and connector layout, keeping in mind X-Boost figures are not the same as true continuous inverter watts.
