Summary

A six-port desktop GaN charging station, model A2683, that shares a 200W budget across four USB-C ports and two USB-A ports. Two USB-C ports can each deliver 100W at once, but the box includes no USB cables and there is no display to show how power is being split.

Strengths

  • Two USB-C ports can run at 100W each at the same time, enough for two 14-inch laptops.
  • The compact footprint replaces several wall chargers on a desk.
  • Independent hands-on reviews are positive, earning a Recommended badge and a staff pick.
  • Safety runs to continuous temperature monitoring plus UL and CB certification.
  • The two USB-A ports keep older accessories and handhelds covered.

Weaknesses

  • The 200W figure is a shared budget, not a per-port promise.
  • There is no display, no app and no per-port readout.
  • No USB cables are included, and 100W output needs E-Marker cables.
  • The USB-A ports cap at 22.5W and fall to about 12W each in a mixed load.
  • At 1.24 lb it is a desk unit, not a travel charger.

Shared power, not per-port power

Two USB-C ports alone can each hold 100W. Fill all four USB-C ports and the split falls to 65W, 65W, 45W and 25W. Add the two USB-A ports to two USB-C and it becomes 100W, 70W, 12W and 12W. Use all six and you get 65W, 45W, 45W, 20W, 12W and 12W, USB-C left to right, then the two USB-A ports. There is no display or app to show any of this, so the split is invisible once the cables are in.

TechRadar charged six devices at once and had no trouble, getting a Galaxy Z Flip 4 from 0 to 100% in about 1.5 hours while others were connected. How-To Geek verified the dual 100W output and the 65W/65W/45W/25W four-way split, charging a 14-inch MacBook Pro (96W max) alongside an iPhone, and measured the USB-A ports at 12W each in a mixed load.

What it is not

The station is a charger only. It is not a USB data hub, not a power bank, and not an AC outlet board, so it does not move files or run mains devices. No user-serviceable parts are documented; it is a sealed desktop box.

Which model this is

This page covers the Anker Prime Charging Station 200W, model A2683, in Silver and Brown. It is not the Anker Prime 6-Port 250W station, which adds a display and app compatibility, nor the later Prime 6-in-1 MagSafe bundles. The US listing is ASIN B0CT2NQ7WG.

Is it worth it?

A September 2026 deal put the station at $55.99, down from a $79.99 list, with a prior low near $49.99, and review-time pricing ran $84.99 at launch and $69.99 direct from Anker. At $70 it remains good value, and above about $85 the 250W station or lab-tested rivals become the better anchor. The 24-month warranty and 30-day guarantee are the fallback, since long-term reliability data is not available.
