Summary

A compact two-port car charger for iPhone and Galaxy owners who want one charger for driver and passenger. Check the fine print before buying: the 30W USB-C maximum needs a PPS-capable device, and charging two devices at once drops to 12W per port.

Strengths

  • Small body that owners say fits the 12V socket without looseness and is easy to pull out.
  • 30W USB-C with PPS covers iPhone 15/16/17-class fast charging.
  • A 22.5W USB-A port keeps a passenger’s device charging at the same time.
  • Works in 12V and 24V vehicles, trucks included.
  • 18-month warranty, above the category norm.
  • MultiProtect safety suite with intelligent power allocation.

Weaknesses

  • The 30W USB-C maximum requires PPS; devices that do not do PPS see at most 27W on the 9V rail.
  • Two-device charging drops to 12W per port per the listing’s key specifications.
  • Samsung owners get Super Fast Charging 1.0 (25W), not 45W 2.0.
  • No cable in the box.
  • Owner discussion specific to this model is essentially absent.

What the ports actually deliver

The 30W figure is a single-port maximum, and only on the PPS profile: the manual caps the USB-C 9V rail at 27W (9V/3A), and the full 30W is reachable only through the PPS 3.3-11V/3A profile. Retailer copy uniformly advertises “30W” without this nuance. The USB-A port tops out at 22.5W (10V/2.25A). When both ports are occupied, the listing’s key specifications state 12W per port; the manual does not confirm a combined figure, so treat it as a listing-level claim.

What owners say

Exact-model owner evidence is thin. Retailer snippets describe the unit as small, not loose in the 12V socket and not hard to remove; one Best Buy snippet reads “works fine, no issues so far”. A 2023 r/anker launch thread quoted $9.99 at launch. No systematic failure mode for this model surfaced; signals to monitor are loose 12V socket fit in some vehicles and long-term port durability, neither confirmed nor quantified.

Is it worth it?

Newegg listings in October 2026 showed $25.60-$27.99 for the same model, with a $38.40 price point also visible; Best Buy listed it at $37.99. At $26 or less it is a fair-to-good value: brand-name 30W PD/PPS charging, a 22.5W second port, an 18-month warranty and a footprint that stays out of the way. Between $26 and $35 it is acceptable, but generic 45-60W dual-port chargers with more headroom exist nearby. Above $38 the 30W ceiling and the 12W-per-port combined limit make it weak value unless the small footprint or Anker support specifically matters.

Which model this is

This page covers the Anker A2741 in black. The Amazon listing is ASIN B0F2DTJYTQ. Do not confuse it with the Anker PowerDrive III Duo A2724 (twin USB-C, 40W) or the Anker 323 (52.5W, USB-C plus USB-A); they share PowerIQ 3.0 branding but are different products with different port layouts and output ceilings. Anker’s own US storefront does not list the A2741; it sells through retail partners.
