Summary
A compact, corded under-desk treadmill with a fixed 5% manual incline, built for home-office walking rather than running. Check the real walking area before buying: the exposed belt is about 35.4 in long, not the 42.9-in machine length AKLUER prints in its deck row.
Strengths
- An independent lab test exists: CHIP rated belt stability highly and found good build for the class.
- The deck is short and low, so at 3.85 in it slides under a bed or couch where floor clearance allows.
- The fixed 5% grade adds effort at the same speed without a powered incline actuator.
- Front buttons mean the pad still works if the remote is lost.
- A hands-on reviewer found it pleasant for very slow workday walks and easy to wheel into place.
- CHIP’s 219 W draw at 6 km/h makes running-cost estimates concrete instead of guesswork.
Weaknesses
- The exposed belt is short at about 35.4 in and narrower than the maker’s deck figure suggests.
- Walk comfort is firm; CHIP rated vibration middling and did not recommend it for office use.
- The remote is imprecise and, per one hands-on test, has to be pointed at the sensor.
- There is no pause button, no Bluetooth and no app.
- The remote uses a single CR2450 coin cell, and one buyer reported a poorly fitting battery cover.
- No 480L-A failure rate, motor life or endurance data exists; brand-level reports of overheating and speed loss are not model-specific.

Walking surface and incline
The exposed walking area is the thing to check. AKLUER’s parameter table lists 42.9 × 19.7 in as “deck” length and width, but that is the whole machine; independent testers put the moving belt at roughly 35.4 × 15.75 in (90 × 40 cm), and CHIP measured a 38 cm walking width. Taller users should expect to shorten their stride. The 5% grade is fixed: you stop the belt, step off and fold out two support feet to raise it, then fold them back to lower it. Nothing about the slope changes from the remote while you walk. This is an electric pad, not a self-propelled manual treadmill.
Noise, controls and the remote
CHIP called the belt stable but the ride firm, rated vibration middling and did not recommend the machine for office use, despite the “quiet office” advertising. A hands-on reviewer heard a faint high-pitched pulsing noise from its sample even with the belt stopped. Speed is set from front buttons or the infrared remote; the remote is somewhat imprecise and, per the same hands-on test, has to be pointed at the sensor, so a pad pushed deep under a desk is awkward to adjust from a chair. There is no pause button, so you stop rather than pause, and no Bluetooth or app. CHIP also found the transport wheels can jam and need the feet positioned to roll the pad.
Running costs, parts and upkeep
CHIP measured 219 W at a displayed 6 km/h, which is a snapshot rather than a constant. One hour a day for a year at that draw works out to about 79.94 kWh, roughly $15.99 at an illustrative $0.20/kWh; half an hour a day is about 39.97 kWh, or $7.99. Belt care needs silicone oil under the deck; AKLUER sells a pack of four 25-mL bottles at €20.95 that was sold out when checked, and a secondary guide suggests small applications every three to six months. A replacement remote labelled for the 480L family is €25.95 from AKLUER, and a third-party compatible remote for the 480L-A is $15.99 plus $5 shipping from China on eBay. A CR2450 coin cell in the remote is the only other consumable, and there is no app subscription. Motor, belt, controller and roller spares have no published US prices or stock.
Warranty is one year on the frame, motor and components for original buyers, but parts shipping can be billed after 15 days from receipt. AKLUER’s written direct-return policy allows a request within 15 calendar days of delivery, not the 30-day wording on the product page, and change-of-mind returns need the original unopened package, buyer-paid freight and may carry a 15% deduction. A Walmart or eBay order follows that seller’s policy, not AKLUER’s.
Is it worth it?
Marketplace listings that selected the 480L-A ran $139.99–$149.99 in October 2026, with $139.99 from the Trailvolt and EbikeGo sellers and $149.99 from GEEK FLASH at Walmart. AKLUER’s own storefront showed €189.00, and a second official page €179.99, while localized to euros, so a direct US checkout figure is unconfirmed. At about $140 the credit for the machine is the independently tested stability and the fixed incline; the hard ride and the short belt are the trade. Above $160, UREVO’s SpaceWalk E1L is $169.99 with app tracking and a 265-lb limit but no stated incline, the E1L Pro is $179.99 with a marketed 12% incline, and the SpaceWalk 5L is $269.99 with a maker-claimed 0–9% powered incline.
Which model this is
This page is about the 480L-A under-desk walking pad with manual incline. Walmart and AKLUER listings mix it with the 480L-B, the 480L-C, the H03 with a handrail and the auto-incline H1-B, so check that the receipt and carton say 480L-A rather than “AKLUER walking pad”. The 480L-A has no handrail, no app and no powered incline; the replacement remote AKLUER sells is labelled for the wider P1/P2/P3/480L/480G/520A/L1 family.
