Summary
A compact front-and-rear dash cam that records 4K (3840×2160) on both cameras at 30 fps, with built-in GPS, Wi-Fi 6 and a supercapacitor. Check one thing before you buy: this A900 is not the Sony-sensor camera of the flagship A900 Ultra that shares its name, and its 4G features need a later OTA plus a separately sold kit.
Strengths
- True dual 4K: both cameras record 3840×2160, not just the front.
- Compact body built to tuck behind the rear-view mirror, with a Type-C power port.
- A supercapacitor instead of a lithium battery, which suits a device parked in the sun.
- Built-in GPS and ADAS, plus Wi-Fi 6 for pulling clips to the app.
- Buffered emergency recording keeps up to 190 seconds before a collision.
- Comments on 70mai’s own promotion thread repeatedly praise the night-vision detail.
Weaknesses
- No Sony sensor: the A900 Ultra gets the STARVIS 2 IMX678, the A900 does not.
- 4G remote features are not live; they wait on an OTA and need the separately sold 4G Hardwire Kit 2.
- Parking mode needs its own sold-separately 70mai Hardwire Kit.
- The 25 MB/s Wi-Fi and 500,000-cycle supercapacitor figures are 70mai Lab numbers, not independent measurements.
- At the common ~$199.99 it is flagship-adjacent money for the non-Sony model.

Full research notes and sources
Dual 4K, with a name to watch
The A900 is the affordable member of 70mai’s A900 Series. Front and rear cameras both record 3840×2160 at 30 fps through an f/1.55 lens with a 140° field of view, and dual-channel HDR can be left on, off or on a schedule. A 3.18-inch screen, Wi-Fi 6, built-in GPS and ADAS, buffered emergency recording that saves up to 190 seconds before and 30 seconds after an impact, and 1 fps parking time-lapse round out the feature list.
The thing to get right is what this model is not. 70mai’s own A900/A900 Ultra comparison marks Sony CMOS as present on the Ultra front and rear and absent on the A900, and the A900 product page names no sensor, so anyone buying the A900 for the Ultra’s sensor story is buying the wrong box. The Ultra also adds LVDS rear transmission, a low-power parking mode around 5 mA, newer image processing and AI motion detection, and it measures 92 × 60 × 51.4 mm against 91 × 46 × 24.9 mm for the standard A900.
4G, parking and the add-ons you pay for
The A900 has native hardware support for 4G Cloud+ 2.0, but 70mai says the full service arrives through a later OTA update. Even then, remote and cloud features need the separately sold 4G Hardwire Kit 2 (UP11), and some need a paid 4G Cloud+ subscription; two-way voice sits behind the Premium Plus plan. Parking mode is the same story: 24-hour surveillance and time-lapse need the separately sold 70mai Hardwire Kit.
What owners and testers say
Independent evidence is thin. 70mai’s launch material and promotion comments describe strong night vision and good detail in the dark, which is marketing and community praise rather than a lab result.
The owner complaint threads that surfaced concern other 70mai models, not the A900: an older 70mai 1S that reported memory-card errors and shutdowns when hot, a unit that sometimes skipped parking mode and drained the battery, and a long-term report of an Omni 4K with a sun-damaged lens and a dead microphone. None of these can be read as A900 defect data, and no A900-specific failure cluster was found.
Warranty depends on where you buy: the US and UK 70mai stores list 12 months and the EU store lists 24 months, so a US buyer gets 12 months. Maintenance is limited to formatting the microSD card and not inserting or removing it while the unit is on.
Is it worth it?
AliExpress listed the front-only A900 at US$97.49, the front-and-rear set at US$123.49 and the set with an UP03 hardwire kit at US$139.49 (OzBargain, 2026-08). A 70mai autumn promotion listed the 4K dual set with 4G remote, a 64 GB card, Wi-Fi and GPS at $159.99 against a $199.99 reference (Dealmoon, 2026). At or below $100 the A900 is strong value for a compact dual-4K unit if you accept an unnamed sensor and no included 4G or remote features; $101–130 is reasonable for the front-and-rear set; $131–160 is fair once you add the hardwire kits and any subscription. At the common $199.99 it is weak-to-fair, because the better-specified A900 Ultra sits in the same series for similar money.
Which model this is
This page covers the 70mai Dash Cam 4K A900, the smaller member of the A900 Series. The set is sold as model A900-RC44H with the RC44H rear camera, and a front-only package is also sold.
