Editorial policy

SavingsHook publishes product research and price comparison for everyday purchases. This page sets out the rules the editors hold to when covering products and taking affiliate money. SavingsHook is operated by South Star LLC, a United States company; research and editorial work is by Dmitrii Pakhomov and Daria Govorina.

Independence

What we cover, where a product appears and the order of stores in a panel are editorial decisions. There is no paid placement and no sponsored content, and commission never buys a better position or a kinder sentence. We declare no winner in any category: comparisons lay out what is factually true about every option and leave the decision to the reader.

Sourcing

Product pages are built from manufacturer specifications and documentation, retailer listings, and reports from owners and user communities. Owner and community reports are summarized with attribution and labelled as community research, never presented as our own testing. We do not fabricate reviews, quotes or test results, and we do not republish Amazon ratings, review counts or prices.

Corrections

Found a wrong specification, a dead or mismatched store link, or an out-of-date price? Email deals@sstar.us with the page address and what is wrong. We correct verified errors and update the last-verified date on the page when we do; the same process covers our published reviews and comparisons.

AI assistance

Research drafts for product pages are assembled with the help of AI tools: collecting specifications, structuring source material and summarizing community reports. Every page is reviewed, corrected where needed and approved for publication by the named editors, and the published text is their editorial work. We do not publish unreviewed auto-generated content.

Image policy

We publish official manufacturer or retailer listing images, with a credit to their source, and only where the source's terms allow reuse. When we hold no publishable image, the page shows a specification card instead — we do not substitute lookalike or stock photos. Rights holders can request removal of an image via the contact page; we review each request and remove or correct the material where appropriate.

Affiliate disclosure

Some links on the site are affiliate links. If you follow one and make a qualifying purchase, SavingsHook may earn a commission from the store; as an Amazon Associate, the site earns from qualifying purchases. Affiliate links are marked as paid links, a commission never changes the price you pay, and it never changes what we say about a product.

Updates and prices

Prices and availability change constantly. Any price on the site is a snapshot, re-checked periodically, not a live quote — always confirm the current price with the retailer before buying. We do not print dates next to public prices. Specifications and store links are re-verified periodically, and a dead or mismatched listing is removed rather than replaced with a guess.

Authorship

Research and editorial work is by Dmitrii Pakhomov (technology, 3D printing, electronics and workspace) and Daria Govorina (kitchen and household). Buying guides carry the name of the person who researched them. SavingsHook is operated by South Star LLC, United States, and is not affiliated with Amazon or any manufacturer or retailer it covers.
